As the Text Line Manager, I provide supervision and feedback to text team members, including one-on-one supervision, and organize text team meetings and Text Line JEDI meeting in collaboration with JEDI Coordinator. I monitor weekly, monthly and annually program performance to ensure compliance with accreditation and governing bodies. I oversee development and implementation of text training materials. I oversee, develop and facilitate Text Team orientation classes and roleplay sessions for new volunteer cohorts. I respond to grievances, complaints and requests from text line program participants.

I began my journey in crisis work as a volunteer at Suicide Prevention of Yolo County in 2018, then joined CSS in July 2021 as a Crisis Line Shift Supervisor. Since then, I have had experience working with the Training Team and Follow-Up Program, until I joined the Text Team in 2022. What began as a need to understand my lived experiences with suicide drew me to learn to connect with and advocate for individuals in crisis. My deep gratitude for the community and devotion to the agency mission is what propels me to be in crisis services.
